The June recipients of the Korea Engineer Award have been announced as Team Leader Oh-Seong Kwon of Lotte Chemical and Principal Researcher Chang-Sik Na of POSKOM.
As the awardee from the SME sector, Principal Researcher Chang-Sik Na of POSKOM was recognized for developing the world’s first ultra-lightweight portable X-ray device powered by a single battery cell.
The Korea Engineer Award selects one engineer each month from both a large enterprise and an SME to promote technological innovation in industrial fields.
Recipients are presented with the Minister of Science and ICT Award along with a prize of KRW 5 million.
