The September recipients of the Korea Engineer Award have been announced as Principal Researcher Minhan Kim of Samsung SDI and Director Youngjin Cho of POSKOM.
Director Youngjin Cho was recognized for developing a battery-powered portable X-ray device weighing just 2.9 kg by applying low-voltage step-up technology, and for his contribution to expanding overseas markets and strengthening technological competitiveness.
The Ministry of Science and ICT selects one engineer each month from both a large enterprise and an SME to encourage technological innovation in industrial fields and to foster a culture that values engineers, presenting them with the Minister’s Award.
