Dreaming of 150% Growth with a “Premium” X-ray Priced Three Times Higher
  • 2014-01-13

Poskom, a company specializing in portable medical X-ray systems, plans to diversify its business portfolio by launching full-scale production of industrial X-ray equipment in 2014.

Priced three to four times higher than medical X-ray systems, the new industrial products are expected to significantly boost performance, with the company setting its annual revenue target at KRW 300 billion, an increase of KRW 100 billion from the previous year.

Backed by its advanced battery-powered portable X-ray technology, poskom exports to more than 40 countries and works with approximately 70 global buyers, including leading medical device companies such as Philips and Siemens.

Exports account for around 60% of total sales. The company allocates 30% of its workforce to R&D and invests about 15% of annual revenue in technology development, holding over 35 domestic and international patents.
With strong technological foundations and aggressive global marketing, poskom aims to expand its presence beyond existing markets in North America, Europe, and China to Southeast Asia and other emerging regions, positioning itself as a global hidden champion in both medical and industrial X-ray markets.
