On April 9, Chungcheongbuk-do signed investment agreements with four bio-health companies Poskom—to establish operations in the Osong Advanced Complex.

M-Gen Plus, holding seven patents in gene editing, somatic cell nuclear transfer, and transgenic animal production, plans to invest KRW 12.5 billion to develop a diabetes treatment using cloned pigs that secrete human insulin. 

Spark Biopharma, a Seoul National University venture, will invest KRW 4.64 billion to develop targeted proteins and anticancer drugs.

Hanlim Medical will relocate its research center to Osong to localize medical devices such as electric hospital beds, while Poskom will establish a research facility to develop X-ray generators and imaging equipment.
