X-ray manufacturer poskom donated an 8kg portable X-ray device to the Gyeonggi Volunteer Center to support COVID-19 medical efforts. 

The device allows X-ray imaging and diagnosis regardless of time or location, with results available within 3–4 seconds per scan. 

It is particularly useful for quickly checking the progression of pneumonia in patients at screening clinics or under isolation.

The Volunteer Center director said the equipment is expected to be highly beneficial for diagnosing patients who are homebound or in self-quarantine. 

The devices will be delivered to Gyeonggi Medical Center and local public health offices, and the company plans to donate additional units if needed.

As of now, Gyeonggi Province has 300 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 233 of whom are in isolation. Among 181 hospitalized patients, 35 (19.4%) were found to have pneumonia through chest X-rays.
