Poskom and Korea Aerospace University Discuss Mutual Cooperation on Internship and Mentoring Program
  • 2022-05-10

On the 10th, Park Jong-rae, CEO of medical device company poskom, donated 10 million KRW to Korea Aerospace University

poskom exports portable X-ray devices to 45 countries and has enhanced the quality of core components such as X-ray generators, establishing itself as a globally competitive small and medium enterprise in the medical device industry.

Park first connected with Korea Aerospace University as president of the university’s CEO Academy in 2011 and has since consistently contributed to the school’s development.

University President Heo Hee-young expressed gratitude and stated that the university plans to expand collaborative programs such as student internships and startup mentoring.

poskom’s portable X-ray devices are compact, lightweight, emit low radiation, and enable AI-based image analysis.

They are widely used in developed countries for military, mountain rescue, emergency medical services, and veterinary care, and in emerging countries for tuberculosis detection.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the devices gained popularity in screening clinics, mobile hospitals, and diagnostic centers for their rapid and accurate imaging, boosting sales.

Poskom is constructing a Digital Health Care Center in Osong Advanced Medical Complex, in addition to its headquarters in Goyang and factory in Paju, while expanding its business through acquisitions of medical device system companies and preparing for listing.
