Rootronic Co. and poskom Co., medical device manufacturers based in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, each donated 10 million KRW (total 20 million KRW) on the 10th to support recovery efforts for the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

The donation ceremony was attended by Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang City, Hwang Hae-ryeong, Chairman of Rootronic, Park Jong-rae, CEO of poskom, and Son Il-soo, Secretary General of the Gyeonggi branch of the Korean Red Cross. 

The relief funds will be delivered through the Red Cross to support local aid and recovery activities in Turkey and Syria.

At the ceremony, company representatives expressed their heartfelt support for the people affected by the earthquake and hope that the donations will aid recovery.

They also pledged to continue broad social contribution activities through Goyang City.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan thanked the employees of Rootronic and poskom for their generosity despite challenging business conditions and assured that the city would actively support companies’ growth and help resolve business difficulties.

Rootronic is a leading domestic aesthetic medical device company specializing in the development, production, and sales of laser-based medical devices. 

Poskom specializes in X-ray equipment and components and continues to grow steadily in the digital healthcare sector.
